The Carinthian Chamber of Commerce has already launched numerous initiatives to strengthen our business location – the Apprentice Hackathon to get young people interested in information technologies, the Tech-Talents to get more talents interested in studying technology and new from autumn 2022 the Dual Academy for training purposes as an application developer.
Technology Scholarships
for foreign engineering students in Klagenfurt
In 2019, the WK experts group UBIT together with the Alpen-Adria-University in Klagenfurt, already launched the “Technology Scholarships”, a scholarship and mentoring program for technology students. The balance after the first two years is impressive: 27 students from eleven different countries came to Klagenfurt to study Game Studies and Engineering, Computer Science, Information Management or Information and Communication Engineering. Twelve of them are female. They are all bachelor’s graduates with very good knowledge of English. For the master’s degree in Carinthia, you will receive a monthly grant, travel allowance, tuition fee waiver and a relevant internship in a Carinthian IT company. Six of them stayed in Carinthia and accepted the job offer from their employer.
