At Software Internet Cluster, accessible from www.sic.or.at, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. In principle, you can visit our website without telling us who you are. In this case, we only save access data without personal reference, such as the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you are visiting us and the name of the requested file. This information is only evaluated for statistical purposes and is used to improve our offers. As an individual user, you remain anonymous.

The data processing takes place for the following purposes: administration of membership, dissemination of information (events, current topics), billing of membership fees. The legal basis for data processing are the association’s statutes. Without this data, membership with us is not possible.

Use and disclosure of personal data
Your data will be stored for the duration of your membership with us or until the expiry of the applicable statute of limitations and statutory retention periods and then deleted. We will not share your information with third parties. If you have any questions about the protection of your data, please contact us.

Security
We use technical and organizational measures to secure our website and other systems against destruction, loss, access, modification or dissemination of your data by unauthorized persons. However, complete protection against all dangers is not possible despite regular controls. We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.

If your data processed by us is not correct, please inform us about it. We will correct this immediately and inform you about it.

In case you no longer want us to process your data, please inform us informally at Software Internet Cluster, Europaplatz 1, A-9020 Klagenfurt, email office@sic.or.at. Your data will be deleted immediately, unless there are compelling legal reasons about which we would inform you.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection claims have been violated in any other way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, the data protection authority is responsible.
