We are a Carinthian company based in Liebenfels, specialized in the development of embedded software and firmware. Our highly motivated team supports customers through every phase of their projects.

We specialize in the development of firmware and hardware-related software, typically using C and/or C++ on Linux-based systems, on microcontrollers such as the STM32 series, and on Windows platforms.

Since 2003, we have successfully completed over 100 projects, delivering firmware and software solutions for a wide range of applications: from the PC-based measurement and diagnostic system DTA X-Tools with Siemens, to telematics devices featuring GPS, GSM, RFID, CAN, and other interfaces, all the way to camera stabilization systems (gimbals). Our expertise also includes bootloaders for secure, cascadable firmware updates in networked devices as well as firmware development for 3D printers from various manufacturers.

The name Pionsys is a coined word, derived from “Pion” for pioneer and “sys” for systems. It reflects our aspiration to always implement solutions that meet the current state of the art – while staying precisely aligned with the actual requirements, without overshooting the goal.
